Dogs of October

I've met several new dogs this month.  They all have good stories. I enjoyed hearing from Carol about what it's like to have a seven month old Golden Retriever puppy. Beth had to put fencing around the trees in their yard so Simon wouldn't chew on them. Then there was the story of how Lucky, a young black lab found Terry while she was jogging on the ditch. Lucky followed her home and a week later she ended up adopting him.  There's also the story about Honey, a Laguna Pueblo stray that was rescued and taken to the Grants prison program where she was trained and then was adopted by Judy. Now Honey is a therapy dog.
Today in the NY Times there was an unusual story about a dog that escaped death row. Here's the link to the article: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/28/us/dogs-tale-from-death-row-to-doorstep.html?_
I invite anyone who has a dog that is featured in this blog to send me their dog's story and I will post it.
See you on the ditch!
