Late Autumn - Day Before Thanksgiving

Last Sunday started with rain and an overcast sky. Then the clouds parted and the sun came out. It seemed like everyone was out taking a walk on the ditch. I met a woman with her two black labs. One of them was carrying a branch in its mouth. It was an amazing sight. He posed for me and then eventually had to put the branch down because it was too heavy. I remembered that I had seen this woman with her three labs (two black and one brown). She said her brown lab had passed away. I had always admired the way this woman could run with her three large dogs. It was nice to see her again and to finally meet her.
Later in my walk I met another woman who I knew a few years ago. I had always wondered where she had gone. She informed me that she had to move away for family matters and had just moved back to Albuquerque. She had her two adorable dogs with her and was happy to pose for me.
I've included some photos that I took in October.
I'm still seeing new dogs almost everyday on my walks.

Cranes and Horses

This morning I took my daily walk as usual. The farmer had mowed down several rows of grain in the field. There was a nice group of cranes grazing in the field. I took several pictures. Further on I sighted a lone crane grazing with a large group of canada geese.
For the past few days I've photographed horses grazing in a field bordering the ditch. I always look forward to this pastoral scene.

Animal Humane's 30th Annual Doggie Dash & Dawdle

We had a fabulous time at the Doggie Dash & Dawdle. The event was well attended and organized. All the dogs got along. It was a beautiful day. Everything was perfect.
Thank you to all my supporters who showed up at my booth and made the event a success.
I especially enjoyed seeing all the participants in the costume contest.
Last Friday I gave Animal Humane a check for $450.00. To date I have sold 260 calendars.
I have some new accounts where the calendars can be purchased. Beeps and La Montanita Co-op have both calendars, Life is a Ditch and Enchanting Views of the North Valley, for sale. Steve's Ice-Cream and Java Shop and The Animal Humane Thrift Shop have the Life is a Ditch calendar for sale.
I greatly appreciate everyone who has supported my calendar and card business.
