Dogs in the Neighborhood

It's been a wonderful week to take pictures on the ditch. The weather has been a lot cooler, thanks to the rains we've had. The ditch isn't as dusty which means I don't have to wash my legs after my walk.
I've met a lot of new people on the ditch that have moved here recently or have had different walking schedules. Doing this blog has given me the courage to introduce myself to some people I have been passing on my walks for several years. One gentleman in particular, the owner of Rusty, told me the story of how he found his dog. When the construction on Campbell Rd. was going on they came across a coyote den in the bosque that was in the path of their construction. Rusty's owner found out about it and rescued Rusty. They have been companions ever since, and they run several miles every day. I have enjoyed hearing all the dog stories. I invite the people and dogs featured on this blog to share their stories.
Thank you for allowing me to photograph you and your dogs. I appreciate your contribution to this blog.  I feel fortunate to be a part of this community.
